It still maintained the charming qualities that made it a hit originally, which is not easy to do. I especially enjoyed the scene where Pee Wee goes drag while with the escaped convict in order to get past a police checkpoint. No matter what his personal flaws might have been, he was very talented and had no qualms about the quirkiness of that talent. RIP, Pee Wee.
