Denafrips FPGA Firmware Update

In case there are any Denafrips DAC owners out there that are not aware of the FPGA Firmware Update, here's the link:

I did the update on my Ares II earlier today and am currently enjoying the results.  It is definitely an improvement without question.

Updated my Ares II this weekend with the 12th anniversary FPGA code with no issues.  The sound improvement is noticeable right away.  I will sit and listen to NOS a little to compare to previous version.  I still prefer the slow filter compared to the fast.  I'll give it some time to burn in and do some more critical listening.  Thanks to Vinshine for making this update possible.

@accuracyman        I am amazed how most audio gear needs to break in, I got my firmware updated a few days ago and it does seem to be sounding better. I really don't understand the science and people telling me that there is a lot of snake oil. If I would have listened to these people my system would not sound half as good as it does now. That guy Amir on youtube who measures everything doesn't believe in anything he can't measure, and I "know" there is more to it even though I don't fully understand it.

Reporting on burn in.

I updated the new firmware on 4/6 and felt it immediately improved the sq like what sat7 had stated. With the advice from Vinshine, I have been patiently and curiously to hear any burn in difference in sq. Up until 4/30, it was still sounding good as before. During this time, I had 10 days with streamer/P-II on all day and amp off. However, everything changed on 5/1. It sounded much much better. At this point, I believed I had put in at least 350 hours in the new firmware. Now, the presentation is warmer and fuller or richer sounding. Or, it is more mature.

BTW, I am comparing the updated P-II to the DAC that costs 3-4 times the price. It is incredible how fast the digital playback has improved.

Terminator fpga firmware updated yesterday. Any problem in the operation.
