Cartridge question

Going to replace the cartridge on my Dual cs1264 with a Vessel a3se.

My question is : Is it worth the extra money to replace the entire head shell even though my original wires look fine?

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

On a side note...is that a good match for that arm? That’s from back in the day of low mass arms.

Thanks, guys.

Yes secretguy, I believe its light enough for the arm. I'm going with that one because it's hardly a high end table, the cart is supposed to sound really good for the price, and I'd read where it has been used on this tt with good results. (Even though for the life of me I can't find where I read it).

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the headshell provides at most 0.002% of the total audio output quality.  So if you don't optimize that headshell your audio quality ceiling will be limited to 99.998%, and you'll be leaving that 0.002% on the table!  Think about that!

@thecarpathian It’s not the weight of the cart, it’s the compliance. But, yes, it will probably be fine.

Don't dis those old Dual tables. They're better than you might think.
