KEF LS50 Meta vs. Golden Ear Triton 3

I'm thinking about upgrading speakers in a large bedroom where I listen to classic and jazz and moderate volumes. I found a lightly used pair of LS50s and a pair of Triton 3s for 60% of the price of the KEFs. The price difference is not hugely important, but it is a factor. Which would you choose and why?

Thank you,

I'd try the Triton3s. I have LS50s and I don't find them all that compelling.

If you want any resemblance of bass, go with the GE. The AMT tweeter is quite special, never fatiguing and always in balance with the rest of the sound.

As much as I love my LS50's, I think the advice is good to go with the 3's. The Kef's are great speakers and frequently used as a reference by reviewers, but they for sure need a subwoofer, and they don't play nice with underpowered amplifiers. I understand your decision is based on availability, but if you have the space for floorstanders it opens up the world to quite a few other options.
