Don Sachs older D2 preamp vs his new version

 I have a Don Sachs Kootenay 120 and looking for one of his older D2 versions or the newest D2 to match the 120. If I bought the older one I would in time take out the Miflex and put In the V Caps and try to upgrade it. 
 

Anyone have experience with one or both of these preamps? Is there a large difference between the 2, certainly if the oldest gets a little upgrading? Thanks for any advise.

I cant comment on the comparisons, however, Don is currently not taking any more orders for newly built gear. I've been in line for his Custom Phono stage and waiting for him to complete it.

Jay I mean no disrespect but I talked to Don and that’s just not true. It may take a few months or until spring. From what I was told he’s semi retired and working at his own speed.

Maybe I should add I have access to a 9 month old Dons Dachs D2 and a 4 year old D2, so there is no wait time.
