Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1

@noromace  There is something to be said for vintage cartridges. That being said, I’ve never really ‘invested’ in a new cartridge so hard for me to compare.

Very fortunate that the Pickering has lots of life left.

Thanks for all the support guys.

This is the best thread on Agon!

Just arrived:

The Animals/ The Best Of  1966 MGM

was a bit concerned as the cover has all been doodled up by some adoring fan boy/girl, but the vinyl is clean and crisp.  Nice to relive this little nugget from my past.

also,

Garland Jeffreys / Ghost Writer 1977 A&M

Gary U.S. Bonds / Dedication 1981 EMI

it’s early yet

it is early yet ! Ran back thru the German pressing of Crosby - certainly the speed correction helps and would tend to tip things up a bit. Overall the new release is superior and i think casts new clarity and light on what i consider a masterwork…

Dead - American Beauty

@nicks25 congrats on the cartridge! For those seeking don’t underestimate a Grace F9 w new Soundsmith stylus / etc …
