There is an element of sadism at play here.
Not at all in keeping with the hobby.
@jafant,

I have not tried any fuses in a CD player.
HOWEVER, I just picked up a new-to-me modded Denon, and may take a look under the hood, see what’s in there and give it one a shot.

I imagine the "liquid" sound you get from a new fuse might compliment the tubes in it nicely. Probably have to wait a couple of weeks, though.....my audio budget has taken a beating lately and I need to refill the coffers, so to speak. :)

@yoby,

I moved the GR cable from my preamp to my amp, and that seems to have made any fluctuations in sound more tolerable. I’m sure it’s still "breaking in/settling down", but at least it’s more tolerable now. Jury’s still out on this one......

@boxer12,

Agree 100%. Strange to have such a strong opinion on something if you’ve never actually tried it......All I'll add is that bumblebees couldn't fly for 75 years......yet fly they did. ;)

“Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being unwilling to learn.”
Benjamin Franklin

This quote says it all, to bad these close minded people continue to pollute the community and ad Nothing positive.. this is why the world is like it is now days. “Less harmless are those audio enthusiasts who are least secure: those whose toxic rage at a world that does not accept the authority of their opinions—a world that persists in enjoying recorded music in ways of which they do not approve—accomplishes nothing other than making our hobby seem repellent.”

Ultimate mod edition w/ NOS Siemens CCA tubes.
It’s definitely got some meat to the sound. I’m thoroughly enjoying it.
Because it was modded so extensively, I will need to open it up and see what the current fuse(s) are rated for.
