Revel Salon2 with Linn Klimax Solo Dynamik

Hi All,
Looking for some speakers and dislike the Linn speakers.
My room is 5meters x 4.8meters, 3 meters high and well treated acoustically. Brick walls, suspended timber floor.
Would the speaker suit the room? But more importantly, how would the Linn Klimax Solo drive them? They are the Dynamik (latest versions) so they have the upgraded power supply which apparently provides 30% more power.
Rated at 500 watts into 4 ohms with the old power supply, so I'd imagine 650 watts into 4ohms is their new rating
Thanks!

I'm a former Linn owner and tried some of their amplifiers with non-Linn speakers and in my experience they were a let down.  The Revels like lots of power and I think you could do much better than the Linn amps.

Just my experience.
I have and enjoy the Salon 2's  As stated, they are power hungry.
They were the first speaker that caused the  fan to run on my Classe CA-2300 stereo amp.

Now I have the Mola Mola Kaluga's and they control the Salons with ease!
My room is medium large /  15 x 40 with a vaulted ceiling.

The Salons with stereo Rel subs work very well, especially vs the Studio 2's which they replaced.
I'm sorry you got sucked into the dreaded Linn trap, but I would have thought the Klimax Solo (500+ watts into 4 ohms) would have easily had more than enough drive to do the room-friendly Revels justice.

There would have to be something seriously wrong with the amp if it didn't.

It's the speakers that matter, and the Revel Salon 2s must be very near the state of the art, if not actually it.

Any amplifier with sufficient drive will suffice.

I think Floyd Toole uses Levinson amps but there's dozens of others to chose from if you don't like the look of your Linn, or want to recoup something towards the cost of the Revels, so no worries there.

But I'd say it looks ok. I'd never buy it, and I guess you wouldn't either in future, but at least you can see where some of the design money went.

Anyway good luck in not falling into any more traps in future.
