High Fidelity MC-6 Power Distributor vs. Synergistic Research V8 Powerblock?

@68pete, Thanks for your comments on the High Fidelity MC-6 Hemisphere. This product looks very interesting and I am trying to decide if I should buy it. I am currently using a custom made box for plugging in my DAC and integrated amplifier. It has no filters, conditioning or anything else. Thanks again. My retailer comments are:

You should get a hold of Rick at High Fidelity. He is very easy to talk to. and he may have a suggestion on where to place your High Fidelity product so you get the most out of it in your system.
Yes I am well aware how High Fidelity products work. i own a lot of them. 

I guess pointing out that the magnet appears to be a permanent magnet, and hence would be directional, but the movement of electrons is bidirectional ... would be a waste of time?  How about placing something magnetic around the cable is likely to create inductance, which will impede signal flow? No?

I do not understand the science behind it. But the Music flows better with them magnets in place. The more magnets in place the better the sound gets for me.

I have used an MC-6 hemisphere for the last 18 months and most of my cables are HFC’s. The power cords & XLR cables are excellent and the RCA interconnect is outstanding. I just replaced the MC-6 hemisphere in my main system with the new SR Powercell SX because I needed 2 more outlets. The SR is more dynamic, larger soundstage and even quieter (also 3x the price) but the hemisphere is warmer & more musical. I like both. I was going to sell the hemisphere but I put it in my second system with tube amplification, streamer, DAC & a TV. What an improvement, I decided to keep it. Was really surprised at the improvement of the picture quality. My old Pioneer Plasma TV now blows away the picture on my new top of the line 4K Samsung TV by a long shot.
