Speakers Women Like

Another discussion asked whether there were any women audiophiles, like males who knit, they exist, but are hard to find. I am interested in "stereo" types (i.e. types of people who like stereo music), but not judgements and I love hearing about what other listeners get out of music.

So my question for the women listeners and readers here is, what speakers do you like, maybe what headphones and what make you scratch your head and go "you’ve got to be kidding me? "  Do you think it's about hearing, or culture? Are you all about the big double bass in a Jazz quartet, or the Chinese erhu? What makes you feel at home with audiophiles, what makes you feel your by yourself?

Any other information about how you got there, like whether you play music, or like a certain genre. Please, we’re all ears.

Erik;
My Mother bought Terasonic Magnus Monitors with a pair of Galileo subs. Small -attractive wood finish - a very fluid relaxing sound. Nothing added to her system if it makes the violins sharp and screechy. She likes very good imaging. It makes the music alive in the room.

I'm sorry I really don't mean to shut anyone out, but I do want to get past generalizations about women's hearing to specifics.

I do remember a fellow Ayre lover, a woman, had a very very difficult time with digital sound until the Ayre QB-9.  It gave her headaches and no one believed her.  I would have loved to know what was different about her hearing, specifically, that caused it.

Best,

My wife loves mine,there in a dedicated room covered .She walks right pass them and cracks the door and pops her head in when im jamming...
she thinks i.m crazy and is qiute happy with the ht system
All right. As I already said, women are very sensitive to distortion in low frequences, as far as I know. This might give them headache, nausea and general feeling of discomfort. I would guess, they are more sensitive to distortions in all frequences. They usually like clarity and controlled sound, acoustic tapestry sophistication is less important.
