Wireworld Silver or Gold Eclipse 8 - IC or Speaker Cable?

About 20 years ago, I owned some costly Wireworld interconnects, probably the Gold range. I then deviated from WW and tried other brands. Several years ago I tried the Electra 7 PC. Fast forward to today, I recently tried the Silver Electra 7 PC and Platinum Starlight 8 USB. I’ve only installed the Silver Electra 7 power cord and so far things are looking promising.

For people who say that Wireworld PCs are the weakest product in comparison to their interconnects and speaker cables, I partly agree. I find that the power cords don’t sound good when used on amplifiers, sounding dull and flat with reduced dynamics. I solely use the PCs on digital sources such as DACs and they perform well here.

Coming back to the question, I may be interested to try the higher range Wireworld interconnects (balanced XLR) or speaker cable in the near or distant future when I get the itch. Currently I have pretty good and costly cables in my system but am curious about the Silver and Gold Eclipse 8 range. Questions as follows.

1. What is the main difference in sound quality between the Silver Eclipse 8 and Gold Eclipse 8? Which is more dynamic, smoother, detailed and 3-dimensional?

2. Generally, which is considered to be better with Wireworld products, the interconnects or speaker cable? In other words, a cable that is capable of bringing a larger impact or improvement to the sound of the system.

Before anyone asks, the Platinum is left out as it is a little too rich for my blood. However, I wouldn't mind people posting their impressions on the Platinum vs Gold vs Silver Eclipse 8 if the comparison was made.

I have all Silver Eclipes 8 cables on my system, interconnects, XLR and speaker cables. The clarity, and airiness is fact, the articulation on the vocals is very precise. The base is fast and tight, the system itself is bold and present. I still struggle with the Term "Musical? My system sounds perfect to me at this point.

I was wanting to maybe upgrade my speaker cables to the Gold eclipes 8 cables, and have read that they are just warmer and more "musical" without removing the detail and clarity compared to the Sliver eclipse 8.

I used Gold Eclipse many years ago and in retrospect they were excellent cables. They offered high resolution but very sweet and musical at the same time.  Since then, I used Cardas Clear (has a unique sound to them) and Nordost Tyr 2; both are excellent cables but I sold them to fund other things.  Recently with the acquisition of a new preamp, I was going to pursue either the Gold Eclipse or Tyr 2 again but ended up with Paul Speltz level 5.3 XLR interconnects and they are truly excellent.  There are many excellent cables out there, finding the right ones for your system and taste is key.

interesting... obviously someone is getting a kick out of this. Well enjoy the moment while it lasts.

I too tried getting into Wireworld cables for my system of:
Anthem AVM90 --> WW Silver Eclipse 8 XLR --> Parasound JC1+ monoblocks --> Worlds Best Cables (Canare 4s11) ---> Sonus Faber Sonetto G2 Viii

Tried the Eclipse 8 cables and they seemed extremely dark and veiled in the highs. Soundstage was much wider/deeper and they felt much cleaner sounding but the top end was gone. Big difference not subtle. As if someone placed a piece of clothing in front of the tweeter. To a point where I knew I can't live with this. Extremely laid back with no top end sparkle.

Do you think the Silver Eclipse 8 would improve the top end? Be a bit brighter maybe?
