Why does the output increase

I used the LP2985 and LP2987 chips to convert the output voltage to 5V and 3.3V respectively. Why did the output increase by 800mV to 5.8V and 4.1V?

There may be a differential of 0.8volts. This would make you see that difference on the measured output of the regulator. Have you added a capacitor on the output?
