Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

The Other Side... Godsmack

SACD and the sq is superb. It maybe pretty much a dead medium but done right it is an ear opener.
Nice! uberwaltz
agreed- Godsmack flew under the radar w/ their SACD. Play it LOUD!
Happy Listening!

@nutty.
Did not get chance to reply before post was gone.
The Other Side is a hybrid SACD.
So it has 5.1 and 2.0 SACD and a regular 2.0 CD red book layer so it will play in any regular CD player to boot. Just not quite as glorious as in SACD form
lilmsmaggieif you like Tierney, check out, "I'm with the Band" CD.
Happy Listening!
Perfect Strangers... Deep Purple.

Cassette.

Actually one of my favorite Purple albums.
Oh lordy lordy.......
Was just rummaging around deep in my box of cassettes and what I just unearthed made me sit down and laugh and reflect on simpler times.

Found a battered tape labeled DNA live at the Midland 1988.

Wtf are DNA?
Ha, they were my band back in the day, bass player and lyricist extraordinaire!
Or that's what I thought....

So I just had to pop it in and hit play.

Embarrassed by it?

Hell no!

Maybe I will digitize it and upload it to Google drive or something and make you all listen....Lmfao!

uberwaltz,

Thanks for the Intel on Godsmack. Its not my primary spinner, however I have an Oppo BDP105D for HDCD, SACD etc. My system is 2 channel only. I think I’ll pick up the Godsmack, thanks for the plug!

jafant,

I Agree! Badlands - Jake E. Lee is excellent as well as Ray Gillen’s vocals.

The Flower Kings! (Check em’ out).
Also revisit Live, The Distance to Here. It’s a masterpiece.

Badlands are pretty bad ass tbh!
I mean Jake.E.Lee, ex Ozzy guitarist is just awesome. Throw in Ray Gillen and Eric Singer and basically another supergroup.
Only album I can find on Deezer is Dusk.

Time for a spin I think!

Nice call Nutty.
