Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Listening to some MOFI SACD's this AM.  The Band - Music From Big Pink, Supertramp - Breakfast in America.
License to Ill. Beastie Boys. Time to get Ill. NDM and 33 + enhanced. 🤗

Also, Steve Miller Band the Best of 1968-1973. Whoa, Daddy! Don’t sound like the same songs.
I picked up the Essential REO Speedwagon 2 CD compilation for 5 bucks yesterday.  I'm not sure it was all "essential" (at least not to me), as I'm not a fan of their later power ballad period, but I love me some 157 Riverside Avenue, Ridin' The Storm Out, and a few others.
I have that one Greg and agreed Riverside Av and Riding the Storm are classic and far removed from their chart driven power pop of the late 80,s and 90,s.
Supernatural ... Santana.

Still a great guitarist imho despite some members dissing him on my Rush thread.

I missed the Santana disses. Really? One of my friends played a few tracks from Guitar Heaven a couple of weeks ago. I hadn't heard it before and really liked it.
Actually might have just been one member BUT one that I was shocked to see them saying so .
Probably a bad hair day for them.
Found the post, not that it really matters but pretty opinionated.

"Santana - most overrated "guitar God" of all time."

I remember being blown away by Santana live in 1978 at an outdoor concert back in England. The king of sustain in my book.
I saw Santana open for the stones in 80 or 81. Not sure how you diss that talent.

Agreed Boxer!

Admit that not every SONG is to my liking especially some of the ones on this particular CD.

However Moonflower is up there with my fave all time albums. Timeless.
I know you do uber. If you can stream it, check out "A love supreme" from his "Divine Light" album. He is with Bill Laswell on that album. Great all the way through IMO. Also agree that he has put out some questionable stuff, but the talent is still there in spades.

geoff, thanks for the link

cool uber, if you haven't heard it before, I think you'll like it

With Light & With Love
Moody Blues The Balance. Remastered CD. He took to himself an orange
and tasted it, and it was good.
Tower of Power - Direct. Maybe not their best music ever, but what an amazing recording!
Funny, I was just thinking the same thing about this album from Bowie. I had no idea Virgin could put out anything that sounds this good...
