What speakers are you using with your BAT 75SE amp?

A new pair of Tannoy Stirling GR's or used Turnberrys and you'll be in heaven.  Great w/tubes and I bet you can get a pair shipped to you for under budget.  I heard the VK60 years ago great!

we had vr4 on the floor once a good speaker but not very transparent tons of better speakers the dalis we mentioned would astound you with the 75

would you care to name them?

I have an Ayon, different design amp but with the same power tubes.  you will appreciate the heat in the winter.  

While your amp is 75 watts, tube amps shine with more efficient speakers.  There is one speaker brand that doesn't value form over function (people say they are ugly), they are too large for many wives, they are very efficeint, and perform great with tube amps.  In your price range.

The VR4 Jrs are very good speakers. I think they would be difficult to better at your price point, or even somewhat above. If you like female vocals, I would recommend the Harbeth SHL5, which is a large standmount, but I’m not really convinced about their superiority to the VS, except for perhaps, maybe a touch better vocal realism. Maybe. Perhaps your dissatisfaction lies somewhere else in the chain

we were bat dealers for many years the 75 can drive a lot of speakers the 75 is a neutral tube amplifier so it wont fix a bright speaker 

we have used dali loudspeakers the rubicons and epicons which worked very well
