The Concert In Central Park-Simon & Garfunkel

(Just recorded and played back on a Maxell XLII90 via a Kenwood KX-7030).
I have that on cd .
I need to make a few new tapes myself, on vacation now for 10 days so hopefully find a bit of time to use some of my metal tapes.
Don’t you just hate that!
Got to end of side 2 and the tape pulled right off the hub and now junk as a sealed case....grrrrrrr.

Knock on wood, that hasn't happened to me in ages.  I used to have a deck (can't remember which one) that always snapped the tape at the end.  Never could get it to work correctly.  Think I threw it away.  Bummer dude!
Frampton Comes Alive.
A&M cs-3703.

Another silicone rescue, hopefully the tape will hang in on this one.
The Collection-Spyro Gyra

(Just recorded and played back on a Maxell XLII90 from the CD, via a Kenwood KX-7030).
Nice Mofi.

In my last preowned cassette haul there were 5 Spyro tapes.
Not got round to them yet but I think I have all of them on vinyl though.
The Very Best Of-David Sanborn

(Just recorded and played back on a Maxell XLII90 from the CD, via a Kenwood KX-7030).

I'm really not a jazz guy, but for some strange reason today, it struck my fancy...
Street Life 20 Great Hits .... Bryan Ferry & Roxy Music.

LOVE that album!  I have it on both CD and LP, but haven't recorded it yet.

How about:  Avalon-Roxy Music

(Recorded from the Simply Vinyl LP to a Maxell MX-46 cassette on a H/K CD-391).
Billie Holiday - All or Nothing at All. Verve 1978 Dolby

Fantastic SQ in this tape.
Wondered when you would manage to drag yourself away from the SOTA Brian.
🤔🤔

Enjoy this revitalized thread.
Yea, figured all my other sources shouldn’t be left out. 😁 But, *it is* hard to drag me away from the SOTA right now.
At Fillmore East .... The Allman Brothers Band.

2 record set all on one tape.

1986 reissue of the 1974 original.
Standing Hampton ..... Sammy Hagar.

Original 1981 release.

SQ is pretty sharp!
Quarterflash-Quarterflash (Self-Titled)

(Recorded from the LP to a Fuji FRII-46 on an Optonica RT-6905)
Apple .... Mother Love Bone.

Would love to get this on vinyl but near unobtanium!!
Well at any price I would be happy to pay........
😁
Mother Love Bone was a band that I never got a chance to really get into. I wasn’t aware, (until I just looked it up), that in a roundabout way, Pearl Jam was formed from their ashes. Also, I never knew that "Apple" was their only album.

Thanks for posting this! I love learning about new things, especially audio/music related.

I went to a local estate sale today and picked up over $200 worth of sealed, blank type II & IV cassette tapes, (Fuji, Maxell, TDK) and over 600 pre-recorded cassette tapes in excellent condition for...a whoppin' $25!

They even threw in quite a few cassette holders/cases/drawers.

Still going through them, but I think I did okay :-)
@mofimadness

Dang, congrats. Quite a find, and an incredible deal. Might as well just gave them to you.
Junko Onishi Cruising promo tape (CrO2 Non-Dolby). Beautifully done by Blue Note.
Vassar  Clements / John Hartford / Dave Holland -  S/T. Rounder Records 1985
Windham Hill Guitar Sampler II.  One of my recent acquisitions from that Estate sale.
A Nakamichi ZX-7 just completely gone through by Willy Hermann is in play in my listening/living room. Listening to a live Springsteen concert that I was actually at, but someone else recorded with a Sony Pro recorder, captured the entire concert of some three hours+. Surprisingly good sound.
@r_f_sayles

+1 Can’t get better than Willy. Enjoy your newly tuned-up Nak
Forgot to add the tidbit that I have owned and loved the deck since it was new in 1982(?) Never regret spending for high quality!
UPDATE:  Cassette Store Day is now Cassette Store Week!  Just found out about this, sorry for the late news, but it's still going strong.  I bought a couple of titles.  These have always been pretty obscure, but I like supporting the independants.

Yeah this is an old thread,Cassette players are more  expensive ,then ever....
Willy Hermann has gone through each of my three Nakamichi cassette decks: ZX-9; RX-505; CR-7A. As you would expect, they all have sounded amazing after being serviced by Willy. About five years ago, I bought a Nak Dragon from Willy. He called me and told me that he had a request from a medical records company to transcribe their records to magnetic tape, so (at his request) I sold it back to him. You won't meet a nicer guy than Willy, and I appreciated all the work he had done for me, but even today I wonder "what was I thinking."
