The Burns Sisters..."Who?" Three sisters from Ithaca who sing tight harmony with the Roches' (remember them?) beauty and precision, but with the swing of Emily Lou Harris, the drive of Bonny Raitt, and the intelligence of Janis Ian (who raves about them). Heard them live on WGBH (Boston NPR) yesterday, and caught their remarkable gig that night, and now reveling in 2 of their 4 CDs. Check 'em out. (Philo Rec)

Looking back I have noticed that you mention the Burns Sisters in several posts. They were far and away my favorite band in Ithaca in the early 80's.  I'd always go hear them at the Salty Dog down by the lake.  I had a crush on Annie, LOL.  I was also a big fan of the Roches at about the same time.  Brings back great memories!
