As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares. We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media. I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations. I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.
Hi, I stream Tidal MQA and their hifi via my Macbook Pro. I use the Tidal app on the MBpro which unpacks MQA, contains my playlists etc. In the future, I may also stream ripped cds on very rare occasion from a connected hard drive, as well as any hi res audio files I may purchase. However, 99.9% is an is likely to continue to be Tidal streaming. Mayb, just maybe adding Quboz or Amazon in the future...
I feed this from my MAC via USB out to my integrated amp and DAC (Peachtree Nova 300). I have no plans to have a separate server etc in the short term, …but may do so in the future.
I cannot understand what, if anything, Audirvana (or Roon and the like) would bring to.the table in my scenario. Perhaps better MQA unpacking? Slicker interface? Better sound quality?
I would greatly appreciate you all's thoughts on this! Thank you very much.

Music-wise, I am a big Bowie, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, Kraftwerk TOOL, etc. head 60's, 70's rock and prog rock, 80's alternative.
Bogbeat, welcome to the forum. I don’t have an opinion regarding your system. I’m just starting streaming and more of a plug and play guy. ( PowerNode 2i). I have enjoyed Qobuz immensely, and between them and some stuff I already ripped I am happy.
Thanks 16F4! Glad to be here. I was just checking out what people are listening to. As for me, I usually just put my Tidal playlist on shuffle, and let it go where it wants.
Last 45 minutes or so: my Tidal playlist/library on shuffle

Tuck and Patti bring back fond memories. I just started dating this great woman, and she told me she really liked Tuck and Patti. The next month they performed at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA and I surprised her with tickets. Must have worked, because we’ve been married almost 25 years.
It’s one of my favorite albums; in fact, I used to own a white-label promo in NM condition I listened to dozens of times over the years. The Outtakes is worth buying if you know the original album, the variations on well-known songs is enough to be that much more entertaining.
One of the nice things about streaming with a non-American company (Qobuz being French) is their catalogue has lots of artists and musicians that may not have been well-known in the US. I had never heard of this French group, but instantly liked their 80s new wave sound.
@big_greg The Qobuz playlists are great! Check out austinpop's playlists (dCS Bartok, etc) plenty of really good music and pointers to records I didn't know
