What are you streaming tonight?

As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares.
We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media.
I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations.
I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.

Minions: The Rise of Gru - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, Qobuz

This is great!  At least what I've heard so far... I'm about halfway through it.  Some great re-workings of classic 70's rock and disco songs by modern artists.

Dire Straits - Money for Nothing - Qobuz

I started listening to this remastered greatest hits collection on my system last night and it sounded so different from what I remember that I stopped it just a minute or two into Sultans of Swing.  My initial reaction was that it was so far from the original that it was distracting.

I thought I'd give it another listen this morning on my second system and I think what I was hearing last night was a lot of extra detail that I hadn't noticed before in other versions, including my MFSL vinyl copies of the individual albums.

After giving it another chance, I really like it.  The instrument separation, vocal clarity, and dynamics seem really good to me and it still conveys a lot of feeling, especially on songs like Private Investigations and Brothers In Arms.

Curious what others think.

Bruce Hornsby - 'Flicted, Qobuz.  I really like this, it's light and breezy but deep at the same time.  Production is excellent.  It feels like he's experiencing a similar late career creative burst like David Crosby.

Frontier Folk Nebraska - "Frontier F**k Nebraska"

Not a folk band and not from Nebraska! Another fine band from Cincinnati (Actually Covington, KY across the river)

Any Fink album

Nils Lofgren Band Live....not the acoustic version

Foy Vance --any Live album

500 Miles to Memphis - "Hard to Love"

Spotify

Another fine band from Cincinnati - The Queen City of the West....

The Smile - A Light for Attracting Attention, Qobuz.  This sounded very familiar, turns out it's a side project for Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood.  A little more rocking than Radiohead, but certainly not a total departure.

Flaming Lips with 14 yo Nell Smith singing Nick Cave's The Weeping Song.

Tidal. Cannot stop listening to it.

Well, it's the beginning of the week, so I'm streaming my Spotify Discover Weekly playlist. Hope to "discover" some new music, as I usually do...

Willie Nelson - A Beautiful Time

Qobuz Hi-Res

Willie performs like he knows it’s his last album. Deep meditations on death and dying, of friends long gone, of past loves. He’s 89 and can’t fool himself or anyone else into thinking his time isn’t limited, and he wants you to know he’s ready.

Sarah Beth Tomberlin - i don’t know who needs to hear this...

Qobuz Hi-Res

Etheral voice, and beautiful music that entranced me.

@big_greg

I caught Ann Wilson - Fierce Bliss, on Qobuz a few days ago.  Really rocking!

Omar Sosa - MANOS (Live)

Qobuz Hi-Res

Wonderful classical piano, and a really fun live performance. Great SQ!

Ann Wilson - Fierce Bliss, Qobuz.  I really like this so far, it's a little more rocking than anything from Heart in recent memory and includes a really cool cover of Bridge of Sighs.

Jellyfish - "Bellybutton"

Spotify

Great album. Wish I could afford the inflated vinyl price. Alas, there's streaming...

Madison Ryan Ward. Love and Adoration and Player. Wonderful singer. Love her.

@big_greg I just discovered Wet Leg from NPR review, they're on my to play list tonight. I agree with your comments.

Two more for tonight's streaming session:

Trees-On The Shore. Somewhat like Fairport Convention, little harder edged and even psychedelic. Some very tasty two lead guitar interplay, and at times add in bass guitar played as lead for three guitar interplay.

Dando Shaft-Ultimate Collection. Not really an ultimate collection, nonetheless very nice.

Wet Leg - Wet Leg, Qobuz.  This is a lot of fun and these ladies have great voices.

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - When God Was Great, Qobuz.  I was really into the Bosstones in the 90's, but kind of lost interest.  This might be one of their best records.  They still have that great fun sound and a lot of fire left in their bellies.

Joep Beving  - Hermetism

Qobuz Hi-Res

Nice mellow classical music for a beautiful spring morning.

National Information Society / Evan Parker - Descension (Out of Our Constrictions)

Wet Leg - Wet Leg

Qobuz Hi-Res

A great album for a beautiful spring day!  The liner notes describe them at proto-punk.  Kinda sounds like the B-52s to me.

The Quintet:Live At Massey Hall (1953)

Qobuz

i came across an article that claimed it was once considered the best jazz album ever released.  It featured alto saxophonist Charlie Parker, trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, pianist Bud Powell, bassist Charles Mingus, and drummer Max Roach playing together as a group.

Gerald Clayton - Bells on Sand

Qobuz Hi-Res

Phenomenal jazz pianist.  Classic jazz mixed with a gospel tinge

The Kinks - Village Green Preservation Society

Qobuz Hi-Res

I’ve never listened to the album in full until today. Still holds up well after 55 years.

Holy crap!  I just looked up Joey Alexander’s bio, and he was 11 when this was recorded!

Joey Alexander - In A  Sentimental Mood (Bonus Collection)

Qobuz HiRes

Definitely what I’m in the mood for tonight

David Ackles, 'American Gothic', criminally unknown, great songs and storyteller.

New World Renaissance Band, 'Odyssey'.

joey alexander - in a sentimental mood

what an immense prodigy and talent

Forever I Wait - Martina Topley-Bird

My Album Pick on Pure Neo Magazine

Nils Lofgren- Acoustic Live on Tidal. Really enjoy the guitar playing. Any suggestions for other albums like this?

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Unlimited Love, Qobuz Hi Res.  Really liking it so far.
