As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares. We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media. I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations. I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.
The new releases for the week are out on Qobuz and there's a reissue of Cake's Fashion Nugget which is one of my all time favorite albums. I recognize that Cake may fall in the "love them or hate them" category, but I happen to love their deadpan sardonic wit and crafty musicianship. It's also out on vinyl, which I'm really excited about.
Alan Parsons - From The New World, Qobuz. This has that classic Alan Parsons Project sound, but not much grabbed me, the songwriting and performances are a little too much in soft rock territory for me. Sounds great though and would certainly make great background music.
Jack White - Entering Heaven Alive, Qobuz. I'm about halfway through and am really enjoying this. A little more mellow, a little more musical than a lot of his work.
Sho Hamada - 11 July 2016 25.2? SSW 2m 131cm from album Surf Side Sketch #001.
The guitarist Sho Hamada beautifully paints beach inspired sound sketches with a wave style tidal sound from his guitar. All the tracks of this gorgeous album are the date, temperature, wind direction, wind power, wave height. Give it a listen!
Been reading this thread for a few days now and found some great leads on music I should check out. Who ever mentioned Cedar Walton, Thank you! Seasoned Wood is excellent!
Listening to others albums now.
@jjss49 That Isfar Jarabski album is so wildly eclectic! Interesting how dynamic and unusual it is. It's it just me or did they crank the kick drum level up a few notches too high?
