wall mounted speaker suggestion

I need a speaker I can wall mount in my bedroom. It will be in a bedroom approx 10x12. Unfortunately with my bedroom furniture their wont be much space and i realize that the setup will be less than ideal. The only place to mount them will be above the entrance door and above the closet door

D=DRESSER C=CLOSET E=ENTRANCE DOOR B=BED N=NIGHT STAND

DD CC EE

DD BBBB

What i want them for? music(mostly rock, alternative etc), as well as my tv for movies. i have a LG 37LH40 in the corner above my dresser

AMP: Musical Fidelity A3.5
Previous speakers that will be upgrading from: B&W DM600 S2
Price Range : 500-1000 hoping to be in the middle.

Before i realized that they needed to be wall mounted a friend reccomended to me a set of used totem model ones for my price range. Since they have to be wall mounted a local shop suggested the new paradigm studio 10's i can pick up for 600 or i could go to the 20's Is there anything else i should be looking at in this range?

Thanks

if you'd like to save some $$$s and still get really good sound, Realistic Minimus 7s (if you can find a pair) + sub of your choice, but only if needed.
I am using Mirage OmniSats in my bedroom. The imaging isn't their forte but I get good full sound with a sub and the positioning isn't crucial.
BTW, I have a pair of weather-beaten Minimus 7's on my system wall mounted outside on my deck, and I must say they sound absolutely fabulous and better than ever on my current system especially for their very modest cost and size.
The Vienna Acoustics Berg is a wall mount design that lists for $1400/pr new, so - if you can find a used pair - they might meet your criteria. Mated with a subwoofer, these will look & sound very good, but the sub might stretch your budget.

Good Luck

North Creek Echo or Okara II. All the current North Creek dynamic designs are specially meant to perform at their best very close to the rear wall. The higher end of the line ( Okara II and Kitty Kat ) have phenomenal bass.

I have not had much luck with rear-ported designs near the wall. Boomy, argh. Front-ported are OK ( Triangle Titus ES ) but overall my sealed-box NHT monitors ( Models 1A and 1.3 ) do better.
