VPI tonearm length improvement

I conducted a quick search, prior to posting this inquiry and was left with minimal information.

I currently have the JMW 9” (2nd gen) on a VPI Scout. There is a listing on various audio sites with a 10” JMW arm for sale at $475.

The question is, would I see improvement in sound quality equal to the investment?

Can you move the tonearm pivot point back to accommodate it? Other than that I have nothing further to add, sorry.

To your question, no or only if by chance you were to do a better job of set-up .

It's only an opinion. Chances are you WOULD hear a difference just because setting up a cartridge never comes out the exact same way twice.  And possibly because the 10-inch version of your tonearm will have a slightly higher effective mass.

There are many generations of the JMW 10” tonearm, therefore, there may be more differences other than length.
