Used to own CD3 MkII and if its sound signature is of any indication it was relaxed, airy, detailed, slightly warm but not dark, big images, big stage.
I had it paired with ARC LS25 and Ref1 preamps into Pass X250.5 driving B&W N803. Wish I never sold that player…one of my audio mistakes…
vintage Audio Research DAC2 DAC3
Can anyone guide me and point out the differences in the sound signature between the following devices?
Audio Research DAC2 Ultra Analog - I know this one, so I have a point of reference
Audio Research DAC3 MKI tubes
Audio Research DAC3 MKII tubes
I've searched the entire internet but haven't found a clear answer :/
I would be very grateful for help, because I like vintage devices from golden audio era, but I would like to avoid hit or miss choices
