Vandersteen 2 C speakers with 4 OHM Amp question

I have a Penta 4 OHM Power Amp that I would like to pair with my Vandersteen 2C speakers that are 8 OHMs....

Are they compatible ?

Thank you

Which 2C’s do you have? I do believe the Sig series will allow 4 Ohm (8 is nominal). But, I would not want to dip below 4, as 4 is the minimum. Even the non Sig series from the 90’s I believe could go down to 5 ohm.

You could always stop by the Vandersteen web site User Forum and ask, and Richard could probably clarify.

russ...The Penta Amp is a known brand, made in Germany. It is good built quality.

Not well known in the USA.

if your amp is rated for continuous duty at 50+ WPC into a 4 ohm load, you will be fine. Vandersteen engineer an easy load w no bizarre impedance dips, phase angles or tanking circuits in the filter network …. since 1977.
