Turntable setup help needed in Wisconsin

Hi, Folks -

On a whim I purchased a like new 1983 Sonographe SG-3 turntable because I previously had one and enjoyed it. It was part of my first high-end setup which was comprised of Conrad Johnson and Vandersteen components. To this day I'm still running those brands.

Anyway, I'm located in Wisconsin and need some help in setting this table up to get the most from it. Certainly, a new cartridge and perhaps an arm replacement (comes with Sumiko LMT tonearm and SAE AT-1000 MM Cartridge).

Any recommendation of where I can take this for help in Wisconsin?

Thank you!

Hi, Brian -

Thank you for jumping in here. I'm about a half hour South of Green Bay so if you occasionally go North of N Chicago (Madison, etc.) that's great!

I'll get in touch with you.

Thank you

I go all over. Just got back from doing setups in Connecticut, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati.

Just place a slab of cheese on the stylus ,crack open a PBR, watch Aaron Rodger’s highlights on YouTube and you’ll be fine.

Or…I spent a few days in Madison last fall just bicycling around and passed by a couple of places that looked like they could help.  One place also sold LPs and I bought one so later I can check the sticker info on the album cover if that isn’t to far for you

University Audio and HiFi Haus are two possibilities in Madison

its not that hard and a good experience.   At least try it yourself.  there are plenty of instructions on line .....
