Tripp Lite ISOBAR8ULTRA

I'm sure this provides good protection. Any thoughts or experience as to whether it might degrade sound?

The fact that the filters in the Isobar are cascaded (connected in series) could prove to be troublesome with some equipment. Source impedance of the AC supply is increased with this arrangement.
.
For audio equipment I’d go with Furman.

The internals of the Tripp Lite Isobar unit I have are very impressive for the cost.  I only use this on a headphone based system with very low power draw.  In that context, no, there is no degradation in sound.  In fact, less noise and good spike protection.  So for an inexpensive low power draw system I think it would be fine.
It's unlikely.

I use Furman with LiFT and SMP because I think they do a better job at noise filtering without being very expensive.
