Transparent Audio Digital Coax Cable

I have the Transparent Cable Premium Coax 75 Ohm for about 10 years. Is it logic to upgrade to the NEW Transparent Cable Premium Coax 75 Ohm ?

1Meter length,
Its the same cable level but maybe a different construction.
Using it to connect a streamer to an A/V processor

Thank You.

Streamer: Blusound NODE ( planning to replace in the future)

I would consider upgrading your streamer first, it can make a huge difference.

The difference in Transparent Gen 5 to Gen 6 has been large. I have experienced this in speaker cables, interconnects and power cords. However I have not tried the 75 ohm coax.

Having said that, upgrading it for a Blusound… I would say no. That is a budget streamer, it is extremely unlikely you will hear a difference, and if you do, it may not be better.

The higher the quality level of component the more significant will be the change in sound quality with high end wire. Typically I would not get serious about high end wire until you are over the $2K / component level. If you do, I highly recommend low end Cardas. Cardas takes into account the level of component you are likely to be using them in. The lower end wires are warmer and more forgiving becoming more neutral and transparent with cost.

Transparent are extremely neutral interconnects and cable… really good for high end equipment. They can actually sound bad on low end equipment because they are so “transparent”.

Early on in my audio pursuit I bought a bunch of high end cable for my equipment and could not understand what all the hype was about… they sounded trebly and thin. I threw them into a closet for twenty years. I ran into them again when my system was several times better and they sounded stunning, transparent, great bass (the were Straight Wire). I was shocked… I realized why they were so highly rated… they were great cables and I had low end gear. This is why you have to try stuff and decide, not just buy highly rated stuff and expect improvement.

Also, always replace cables after component upgrades. You want to carefully take into account the sonic characteristic of your components in choosing wire.

Thanks.
indeed helpful advice.
1. I can now buy the Transparent Coax in the USA

so saving the shipping cost to my country.
2. In plan, Upgrade the Blusound to a better streamer.
so the “new” cable will be used in the future.
3 it seems to me that the Transparent cable is superior to AudioQuest

so I’m now in some kind of opportunity to get the transparent

more important, I am using the McIntosh’s internal DAC

not the one in the Blusound ( a Digital connection coax )

The DAC in your McIntosh isn’t that great and the Bluesound Node is actually not a terrible streamer. In your case I would consider getting an external DAC purely for 2-ch listening and for now keep the Node.
But definitely don’t waste money on a new Transparent Audio cable. Your current cable is totally fine within the context of your current system.
