Tip for blues lovers

I gave her a listen on your advice and i agree it's a good album.  She has a nice voice and she's really been practicing her blues guitar.  I don't think the purists would like it, but what do they like?

Now let me recommend someone.  Harry Manx.  He mixes Blues and Indian music.  He plays a  Mohan veena, a 20-stringed instrument invented by Manx’ Indian mentor Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.  It's an acoustic guitar that's been "Indianized."

Start with "Wise or Otherwise" or "Mantras for Madmen".  Let me know what you think if you do give him a listen.

I listened to  Muireann Bradley for a couple songs last ...not sure I would classify it blues in the stricted since...maybe a lil bluesy folkish americanaish. VERY well recorded...will give it another listen when I'm in the mood. Thanks

tomcy6...Harry Manx is going in the que...I love blues and from time to time Indian...so should be  nice.

I have been enjoying Hans Theessink lately...for a more acoustic blues recorded very well.

If you have Tidal...there is a playlist titled "whiskey slow blues SQ" lots of well recorded blues

@tomcy6,    Listened to Harry Manx last nite.  Very nice, relaxed.  That Indian instrument must be something like a sitar, sounds similar.  @ scp.  Don't have Tidal, that playlist looks awesome.  Internet radio tuner has AArdvark blues out of Houston if you don't want to listen to the same old stuff everyday.

Thanks...tried that Aardvark...I listened for a bit until a new artist...I hadnt heard came on ....Kern Pratt....flipped back to regular Tidal....searched him out...and had a whole evening exploring his music.

I have found I get bored if I listen to music...I have heard a lot...so this works great.

@boxcarman  -  Thanks for the feedback on Harry.  I do like to listen to relaxed music more often these days.  Harry is unique  and  I like his songwriting.  Enjoy!
