Thoughts on Thiel SS2 Sub

Thinking about buying a Thiel SS2 sub. I've never had a chance to listen to one. Please share your thoughts on the SS2 Sub. My main speakers are Thiel CS 6. Thanks in advance!

@chiefsteward1 subwoofers are pretty simple in that they don't have fancy use cases. All they do is give you ample low-end support for your mains and also help reduce IMD and other distortion parameters of your mains if you high pass the mains.

But the most important part is subwoofers are necessary for room null corrections and removal.

The above is room dependent and bass is omnidirectional mostly with the long wavelengths. So, you're asking people to give you thoughts about a sub in a room other than your own.

Best thing is to check if there is CEA2010 data for the subwoofer as that is the best way to ascertain the sub performance without a room's involvement

The SS2 unfortunately isn't present on any database for the requisite parameters.

How much are you getting them?

Modern subs are really good.   Some have room correction and full PEQ.  They have come a long way.
