Thoughts on Lumin D2

I love the Lumin line.  I have had the U1 mini, D2, A1, and X-1.  To be honest the D2 was the lowest SQ but it was to be expected at that price point.  If there is any way you can stretch your budget and buy a used T2 or A1 you would be happier.  I can say there was a major step between the D2 and A1 and a monster step up from A1 to X1.  

I had a Lumin T2 and loved it. Only dis is that ROON is a way better interface but you could say that about every Streamer.

I think you would be very happy with the D2. It uses Wolfsen 8741 DAC chips, which is the same chip used with my Classe SSP, which is excellent. I currently have the T2, which is the model above the D2, which uses Sabre DAC chips. Sound quality is very good.
