Thinking of upgrading

Go For It.  If nothing else, it'll at least impress the chicks.

The sound stage is a little thin but if you set it up in a small room, like a closet, it sounds good. 

I had to work hard to get the speed right by sticking plastic wedges under the platter but it was a challenging and fun process.

Oh, and I would recommend upgrading the power cord. Made a huge difference.

Definite improvement over Tommy's tin foil & carboard cylinders! Might even be a little better than Al Bell's graphophone. Emile Berliner would be proud!
