I would run the Zavfino to the amp and plug that directly into the wall. Then use the C3 for the rest of the components.
Thickest Power cord with Power distributor?
Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the usage of power cord in my system.
Let's make it simple with fewer components.
I have an Ansuz C3 Power Distributor
1 Zavfino Silver Dart power cord (thicker cable, small awg)
1 Ansuz P2 Power Cord (regular awg/thickness)
1 Integrated class A (about 400w consumption when in use.
In theory, where will you use the Zavfino cable? From wall to Power Distributor because of the higher current that can deliver to all the components?

Often the thickness of the calbe is just "padding" added to make it look impressive. Marketing may have some snappy sounding word salad to describe it. Don’t repeat marketing crap, it will identify you as a fool. AWG and quality of the copper and connectors is key. Erik gave you the perfect answer to your question. --Jerry |
In theory the largest AWG cable should be used on the power distributor, but what if one cable is 10 AWG copper and the other is 11 AWG silver- which has less resistance? Both these cables are copper/silver hybrids so it is not that simple. In practice you are going to need to try both ways and see which you prefer. The Zavfino Silver Dart is a 10 gauge cable, are you saying the Ansuz P2 is larger than that? (smaller gauge that is) And here is the technology or "padding" in the Silver Dart:

@mclinnguy Hello, I mentioned Ansuz P2 (not D2). I also stated that the Ansuz P2 has a "regular" AWG, I suspect 12AWG. The Zavfino then seems to be the best choice for wall to Power Distributor. At least on paper. |
