Tekton Polycell15

103db made with a different array which is more like a horn or waveguide. 15" dual woofers. He has it as a pro audio product. Seems ideal for flea-watt home use as well.

Yes,this is one of the new ideas that Eric told me about during our phone conversation a wk ago.I won’t mention the tweeter brand, maybe he will post more info.Very high sensitivity and in a more compact size than the big Ulfberhts and at a price point that more can afford.

Like others have said before he must never sleep,
Kenny.

Curious:

Low frequency extends only to 30 hz whereas the DIs, with twin 10 inch drivers, go down to 20hz. Wonder why there isn't greater range with the 15" drivers; could it be the cabinet size?

Or the greater sensitivity, nature of the beast, probably both factors realistically.

Enjoy,
Kenny.
Being a horn lover, this looks like a hell of a speaker to me. The D' Appolito arrangement of the Double Impact with the greater ease and efficiency of horns. It looks like a good idea, but of course it's all about the sound.

Kenny:

If it is efficiency, then the 20-30hz content is probably there but laying 6-12 db down. Probably can be brought back -- as they say in the studio world -- "responds well to EQ."

This looks like the horn/waveguide he is using but not sure about the driver. As with Eric’s other arrays it’s not really about the specific speaker used but the crossover and how he has it wired.https://www.parts-express.com/prv-audio-wgp14-25-orange-1-45-x-45-waveguide-1-3-8-18-tpi--294-2907

Looks like there is a 1" driver this company makes that would fit this horn. The driver has gotten great feedback for its reasonable price and sound quality. Would make sense if he is using it. I’m glad Eric keeps thinking about his array and trying different speakers. This horn type interests me more than the beryllium version we saw a few months ago.
sbayne,

I’m sure Eric could make a monitor version for you if you were interested.

Kenny.
Kenny - I'm sure he could! ha,ha The thing about people like Eric is they don't like to sit still. Their designs, and implementation of those designs, are going to change. I think that's a good thing but it also means you will most likely not have the latest and greatest.
Looks a lot like the Impact Monitor but only 5 tweeters in the array and they are aligned vertically side by side. If anybody gets more info on these from Eric let us know.
I think maybe a new thread should be started for this new monitor...why not right?? LOL
You might also want to see this speaker just went up. I drove down to Tekton and got to hear it. It's a little larger than the DI, but definitely smaller than the Ulfberht. http://www.tektondesign.com/new.html
late to the party but I was thinking of driving there to hear them as well. I have to get moved first and of course covid has to die down.  Some of his speakers look pretty great!!
