Technics LAPC (Load Adaptive Phase Calibration),

I have a Technics SU-R1000 that I was experimenting with using outboard amplifiers and using the Technics as a preamp/dac/phono stage.  It features something called LAPC (Load Adaptive Phase Calibration), which calibrates the integrated to better match the speakers impedance curve.  My question is would this still work using external amplifiers going into the Technics or would it only work with the internal amps on the unit?

Thoughts?

Only works with internal amp.

Not to say an enterprising person couldn't do exactly this with a DSP engine and any other amplifier, but we might argue if it is even ever needed elsewhere, especially if your other amps are analog.

As I understand it, this is a way of using feed-forward techniques to compensate for the inherent non-linearities in the Technique's output filter, and perhaps other issues as well.  It's kind of an EQ for the amplifier under load.

That's what I kind of figured but wanted to throw it out there in case I was missing something.  Appreciate the response!
