Surprising cover-Hope for keeping Classic R&R alive

I don't pay much attention to You Tube videos of someone doing covers, especially the younger generation attempting to do a R&R song. There are plenty of Classical music prodigies, but most doing Rock, fail.

These two young ladies pull of a 70's FM radio classic.

Vocal and instrument chops are present. Perhaps Jeff Beck should give these ladies a call? He always has up and coming musicians in his lineup.

Close your eyes, it's Heart performing. I hope these two have a  long, successful career.

bkeske-
cool story. I remember seeing the album "Legalize It" in stores, and thinking "never in a million years" That was when paraphernalia was part of a record store also.

I shopped at this locatiion. Notice in the second picture the "Zig Zag man"

tweak1-Miranda Lambert is already an established performer, along with the other musicians-Elle King,et al. Thanks for the post though.

The point of the post is these are two teenagers.
I'll  stick with Elvin Bishop. Great song. Hell of a player too.

Can't say I was a fan of Micky Thomas after that song though.

Remember that corny song? The decade of R&R death.
Miranda Lambert and friends "I fooled around and fell in love". It's so cool I play it at least twice a day

This reminds me of when my Deadhead hippy buddies and I went to the Columbus (OH) Agora one night to see Peter Tosh, and the opening band was this new group called Heart. When they came on stage clad in ‘rocker attire’ our collective eyes rolled....then they started playing, and Nancy was putting out some serious licks on her guitar, and overall you couldn’t deny the ‘groove’. We all kind of looked at each other in amazement, as some of Nancy’s playing was quite reminiscent of Hendrix. I can’t say any of us ever became fans, but there was a lot of respect by the end of their performance.

They actually put out some good songs over the years, and that was one of them. Nice tribute and cover.
