Subwoofer /swarm report....

I have a pair of Goldenear references with 2 subs.  A Klipsch 15” reference and a 12” 80’s vintage Miller and Kreisel.   For the past 3 months I have experimented with sub placement looking for a “swarm effect”.  I was not able to tame the nodes with any placement configuration I attempted.  Today I placed  both subs in between the Goldenears.  I placed the M&K directly on top of the Klipsch.  Put on some Dire Straits and could not believe the tight, feel it in your chest very defined bass.  I could close my eyes and point directly at the source of the kick drum and the bass line.  All I could think was “should have done this first.”  Have never had bottom end like this before.  A good day, a very good day...
