Studio Electric m4

Hi

Anyone own this speaker?   I'm thinking of replacing the Omega S.A.M. in my second system with a conventional speaker.  I really like the Omega but miss the sparkle and air a tweeter brings...   They sound very good and are easy to listen to , no fatigue but at the expense of some top end.

Thanks

The M4s are excellent speakers, but very different to the Omega SAMs. The M4 are un-ported and not as efficient as the SAM (87-88dB vs 95 dB) and more obviously 2-way vs full-range. Both are flexible enough to work with a variety of amplification except possibly with low-power SET where the Omega will have the advantage.

Six months in and I'm loving the M4.   I just freshened up an old turntable and am listening to them right now.

Everyone's taste is different but these speakers really check all the boxes for me..

50 watts wasn't quite enough for them as they do like power.  Im using a 100 watt amp with them now and it's more than enough.

I really like the combination of a sealed monitor and sealed sub.   I have had a few acoustic suspension subs and I'll never go back.    I was trying to avoid a rear ported monitor and these were the perfect fit for me.

I have a pair of Forte IV and several tube amps in the next room but I find myself listening to these M4 a lot.  Especially if its a short listening session or TV.   Silly to power up tube gear for an hour or so.   They are that good.

My second system with the addition of the M4 couldn't have come at a better time.

@oddiofyl ... I appreciate the update.  M4 look awesome ... I didn't realize it's an acoustic suspension design ... always intriguing.  Thanks for posting!
