I currently use:Sony DVP9000ES
Arcam FMJ-23
Benchmark DAC 1
Musical Fidelity kw500
Paradigm Studio 100v.2
My music is: ROOTS-ROCK-REGGAE & DUB REGGAE
Question is: I want to change/upgrade these speakers.
Would appreciate any and all help.
Thanx!

It is a '83 - B side of Red Red wine. Most of the LPs on eBay have the regular 3:45 Minutes long version (not dub). I am still watching, though.

thanks
What year did it come out? You may want to check out Ebay. I found an album that was no longer in print and my copy had a big scratch. I'm glad Mikey Dread doesn't do his own stuff anymore.
This is off topic, taking advantage of you dub lovers present here: does anyone here have the dub version of the UB40 song - Sufferin', which was mixed by Mikey Dread? It is about 8 minute long. Very hard to find.

Thanks
Live and direct....Don’t Check Me With No Lightweight Stuff
(only reggaefied since 88)
You have a killer amp there, it can push almost anything going. I would say look into to some transmission line speakers or even sealed. IMHO with high power amps transmission line does very tight and deep bass without messing everything else up.

Maybe PMC speakers, probably want to stay away from anthing thing too analytical do to so so quality of most recorded reggae. Legacy audio might be something to look into, very love / hate brand though. If you have the cash PBN speakers are another one, but you have to get up in their range to get the 25hz bass.

Don't forget room treatment...real traps or Gik acoustics...huge improvement for me with corner bass traps.

Black sounds of freedom by Uhuru spinning now.
Hi, you may be better off just adding a nice sub. I am assuming the bass you so desire is not quite there? Ire mon, Jah Rastari.

For roots rock reggae I use horns with great results my reggae music colection sounds very real and live with a horn system.Front horns are a bit better than back horns but back horns are more affordable and take up less space.I use solid state and tubes amps both work great.
