@soix , I couldn't agree more about the misconceptions some have with silver cables. Properly made, they just get out of the way of the music allowing it to sound full, bold, deep, textured, extended, airy, smooth and silken, depending on the recording.

There's that caveat that since they get out of the way of the music, what you have left is the speaker, amp, source and recording to deal with. 😄

All the best,
Nonoise

@nonoise Heh heh.  No, MUST be the silver cables causing the problem. 🙄

thanks all i decided on a pair of audience studio one speaker cables 2m spades both ends

I use Audience FrontRow with Benchmark AHB2 monos and I was comparing it today with WyWire ’Silver" speaker cables (not made with silver). The Wywire had way more bass output than the Audience. However, the Audience FrontRow was clearer and sounds right to me, though that maybe be just been used to that sound. There does not seem to be any exaggeration of anything with the Audience speaker cables. I also have a short pair of Audience AU24 SX speaker cable s coming tomorrow.

I used to think cables made of silver were way too harsh. My RAAL SR1a headphone can be brutally harsh. However, the best headphone cable for it, SR728 and Star 8, are made with silver. There is science and measurements behind that cable, though I do not understand the numbers.
