Really digging this band!

You can get some sigur ros and jonsi's solo official studio masters (hires) for around 10 bucks each.

Botching it on vinyl plastic and paying 40 to 60 bucks a pop doesn't look like a great idea a.k.a if you are not medium agnostic, you shall be denied the 'best recording'.

Agaetis byrjun is considered one of their best. I have a double album UK vinyl version. It can be beautiful at times but nothing special soundwise for audiophile purposes.

@baylinor + 1 - I saw Sigur Ros a number of times when they were first touring the US; wonderful band so reminiscent in feel to the 'Krautrock' music scene (Tangerine Dream, Faust, Neu, etc) of the early-mid 70's. Very atmospheric, and when they brought in the quiet, you could almost literally hear that pin drop - those audiences were SILENT. 

For those familiar with the band, could you send a recommended youtube that exemplifies their music, perhaps a favorite.

I have listened most of their records and have a few on vinyl, I like their music and my favorite is their 8th record from 2002 - ( ) .
