Should I return my Sony wh1000xm5

Problem with replacements is the noise cancelling may suffer.

I use Shure IEM's with the yellow, memory foam inserts.  Incredible noise blocking when they're inserted properly. 

Otherwise, if you like IEM's after market foam tips can really upgrade the noise blocking. 

The issue is really which physical discomfort you find least intrusive.  Personally I don't like the heat/head strap of headphones while out of the house.
