You might consider buying a used No. 39 Cd player and then sending it to Levinson for the 390S upgrade. I think you can stay pretty close to 5K by doing that.
Look into the audio aero capitole, accuphase dp-75v, audiomecca mephisto II, and the 390s all of those players have strengths and weeknesses. That being said I prefer the Capitole. ~Tim
