Schiit Audio headphone amps

Hey all, has anyone tried the lower-end Schiit Audio amps? How do they compare with other brands at the same price point?

Also, can we all agree that this company has a schiit name?

I am also interested in this. I have a Chord Mojo for portable use and to use at my computer, but I would like a headphone amp to connect to my main system’s preamp, so I can enjoy my music after the baby is sleeping. Was looking at the Schiit Jotunheim or the Lyr 2. Anyone have any experience with these?

Freezeray - what Schiit amps have peaked your interest?
I have an Asgard 2 for headphone listening but nothing to compare it to so I didn't reply to freezeray, initially.  I mainly use it at night for computer-based streaming Tidal (if it isn't buffering like mad) or Spotify.  Run a Dragonfly Red from the Macbook Air into the Asgard.  The gain switch is nice to have for cans with greatly different sensitivities.  Does run pretty hot.  Class A? (not sure).
Guys
I bought a LYR used a couple of years ago (older model). I also have a Woo Firefly that I used mostly. I then spent time upgrading my speaker system and got away from HP's. I recently got bored and set up my LYR with Sonus. I stream Tidal HiFi with both systems. I mostly use Grado HP's and I was using the Grado's with my pre and Dac in my speaker system late at night, not realizing it was just average at best. Listening to the LYR with Tidal through the Sonus, I discovered the quality of the music that got me started trying to upgrade my speaker system. Back to answering the original post. The LYR is just a hair less in quality of sound from the Woo amp, and at maybe 25% of the cost is worth it.
I own an original Schiit Vahalla which I use with an AKG701. Great sounding combo for the dollar. Bought the Schiit used here on AG, $~200.
Decided to buy a Schiit Jotunheim.  I have a balanced system, I want the power that this amp provides, the reviews (both professional and amateur) are overwhelmingly positive, and the price is great.  When I get it, I will share my two cents!

My Valhalla 2 has been reliable and nothing less than impressive with the supplied original tubes for the last Five Years.
My Mjolnir is my only other Headphone Amp for a reference for comparison.
And the Valhalla 2 compares very favorably. $350 new ...
Planar HCD-X and HD 700 Can Sets.
And do not let Schiits reluctance to jump into the fray about Upgraded Cables deter you in a quest for sonic excellence.
I have the Schiit Vali 2 and it sounds plenty good with my Audioquest Nightowl headphones. I also have an older Benchmark DAC1 and it as good, if not better.

I have not tried many other headphone amps but it works pretty flawlessly. I also changed out the tube to try another flavor. You really cannot got wrong here under 200 bucks. I also you use at as a preamp for some powered monitors and the only issue is that the left and right channel are not at the same level at super low volumes, but that's the result of the volume pot used.

I suggest you go the HeadFi forums if you want lots more detailed feedback. That is where the headphone gurus are at.
It depends on what headphones you’re driving, so would be helpful if you could share that info.  That aside, the Cavalli Tube Hybrid is also a highly-regarded budget amp with a less crappy name.
