Rolling Stones - Hackney Diamonds

How great is this recording!

I'm amazed.

If you're expecting 70 - 80 year old Stones to write/perform new songs that pay homage to their heyday, look elsewhere. I think it's impressive that they can write new material that seems accessible to a younger audience and Micks' voice sounds mighty fine

I kinda liked some of the songs, better than their last few efforts. I just can't get past the loud, crappy song quality. Most of the Rolling Stones albums have bad sonics. Must be there thing,

I bought two colored vinyl pressings at release.

I have yet to open them. Just not interested.

Always loved the Stones. Hackney is good and it's pretty consistent. They still rock. Not as hard as they used to though. If you ever bought a Stones album for sound quality you're crazy. We will miss them when they are gone. I think this album will hold up over time. It's interesting that I hear so much about Taylor and nobody mentions It's Only Rock and Roll. Time Waits for No One is total classic Taylor. The Stones are giants in the rock Pantheon and Hackney hangs in there with the discography. We will miss them when they are gone!
