Rolling Stones - Hackney Diamonds

I bought the Blu-Ray Audio/CD version and as dyed in the wool Stones fan it's bloody awful. Previouly, Dirty Work was the worst but this takes the biscuit.

Dross, dross, dross.

Jagger knows how to make really great solo albums why he didn't do that and stick a Stones label on it only heaven knows.

I think it's a great album. It sounds good on my system. It's a very live sound with a lot of delays and reverb so it's not a "clean" sound but it's got great energy. 

DC has ~1,600 copies for sale.  Step right up...

To my ears the recording of Hackney Diamonds sounds the way fast food tastes.

The only issue I have is a bunch of 80 year olds doing the same old act.  No real progression of the music that one would expect from a lifetime of new experiences. Kinda sad really. Still a fan but only of the music they made that was somewhat innovative back then and  suited their age at the time.  I grew up with it after all.
