Why would it need to be discussed ? Plenty of (tube ) equipment invert phase. Just reverse polarity at amp or speakers, no biggie...
Rogue Cronos Magnum -Reverse Polarity ?
For those that Run a Cronos Magnum Integrated Amp , Have you reversed the polarity at the speakers to correct the polarity from the amp ?
on some recordings the difference is negligible but others the soundstage & imaging are affected along with the pitch
please chime in if you have or have not corrected the polarity
Surprised at how little this has been discussed ?
Just a guess there will will be posters that will say they can not hear any differences. Another problem, how may recording engineers today, for that matter for the last many years, take the time to check absolute polarity of all the microphones before making the recording? Are there any recording engineers that take the time to check today? Recording engineers like Doug Sax are gone. I have CDs that were mastered many years ago where some tracks are recorded in-phase polarity and other tracks on the same CD inverted phase polarity.

This is the point , according to many Knowledgeable audio folks - many people won't hear a difference . I knew about this inversion but usually don't notice it but the other day I was playing a new LP & thought the voice was further in background than should be . Switched the speakers leads around & sound was much improved .
