Thanks for the suggestion guys. After careful thinking, I have to be careful as my amp input impedance is 30k balanced. That might limit the gears that would work well in my system.

If you would be open to a DAC/Pre in one small package and a transport in another small package, then the Bel Canto DAC2.5 + the Bel Canto CD3t transport could be a good option for you.

If you are dealing with a space limitation, both of these sitting side by side are roughly the same size as a "normal" piece of gear.
