Like the title says I’m curious about using two matched pairs of power tubes rather than a matched quad. I don’t really see how this would be a problem but I’m pretty new to tubes so thought I should check before purchasing.
depends on the amp... and how power tube bias is adjusted in it... if it is done for each tube pair, then you are ok with matched pairs instead of a matched quad
