Qobuz Connect


I was enthusiastic about Qobuz connect when it became available.  I have been using Qobuz with Roon and liked it, but Qobuz connect would offer a simpler, more direct connection.

However, I find that Qobuz connect intermittently will stop in a tract mid-stream, provide a notice that it cannot connect to that tract and move on to the next one. I have had this problem with several different high end streamer/dac/preamp setups on several different networks, including in a high end dealer store.  The experts there, who are top notch, think that it it is perhaps that Qobuz connect is new and they have not worked out the bugs yet.  There have been several updates, but the problem persists.

Anybody else have this problem?  Has Qobuz commented on it?

Hello!

I went back and retested with Auralic Vega S1 in streaming mode. No issues with QC stopping and starting. I also never had a problem with CarPlay!

Hope nobody minds if I quote this thread the next time I am told Qobuz is perfect because it uses TCP!

All I can say is, don't expect Qobuz to give a rat's ass about any problem that you are having. Their company model seems to be f*** customer support. Just ignore any requests. You are better off speaking with the robot. Once it turns you over the the support team, You may as well piss into the wind. The request is ignored. Emails to support are ignored. They simply don't care about their customers in the least. I have been a huge fan of Qobuz.  And have talked many people into going with them. But after experiencing their absolute disregard for me as a customer. I am not sure that I want to be one any longer. Absolute disrespect is what I have been shown. And that is where I will draw the line. If you don't believe me just Google "How do I contact Qobuz when the standard methods are ignored?". Oh how I wish that they would read this.

It is weird.  QC does not work well with my Wiim but I had no issue with Volumio Rivo plus.  Same wired ethernet setup.
