Like a shot.  In my system I used to have a Niagara 3000.  Once I heard the 156, I sold the 3000.  The puritan is much better (in my system to my ears)

It will sound even better after a few weeks but if you want to improve the sound of your system further, connect a piece of thin copper cabling from the chassis screw on a component to the green grounding post on your Puritan; floor noise drops even further...

@wig - yeah I saw you post that tip on another puritan thread.  I have done so for the innuos zenith and the phoenix reclocker.  Does make a small positive difference for me so will stay in place.  Not ground breaking (he he) though, but I guess it depends on the mains in your area and the amount of ground issues your particular equipment experiences.
